Founders

Johnny BernardJohnny Bernard, Jr., MD is a local board certified Radiation Oncologist, specializing in treating cancer with radiation, with specific interests in prostate and skin cancer. He attended medical school and internship at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and completed residency training in radiation oncology at the internationally renowned Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL, where he served as Chief Resident and attained the academic rank of Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology. Dr. Bernard has published numerous research articles on cancer detection and treatment. He served as a Radiation Oncologist for the Army and was honorably discharged at the rank of Major. Dr. Bernard is known in the community for his compassionate bedside manner, always doing his best to listen to the patient and their concerns and provide the best options for treatment. He went from a skeptic to a believer in cannabis after years of his cancer patients sharing with him their stories of how cannabis was working to help with numerous symptoms. His many patient requests for medical cannabis sparked his interest in researching medical cannabis and becoming a qualified provider for medical evaluations. Dr. Bernard is now a true believer in integrating medical cannabis for qualifying patients to provide the highest quality of care.

Dr. Bernard is a qualified physician under Florida Law to perform evaluations for low-THC and medical cannabis. All Medical Evaluations in Florida will be performed by him. Taralyn BernardTaralyn Bernard, OTR/L is a graduate of Tennessee State University, former owner of Pediatric Therapy Services, and co-owner of the Bernard Cannabis Center. She is a board certified and licensed Occupational Therapist who has over 20 years of experience, having rehabilitated patients suffering from strokes, traumatic brain injury, cancer, dementia, pain management, PTSD, etc. Taralyn also assisted patients in activities of daily living skills so that they can maximize their independence with life. Together with Dr. Johnny Bernard, clients will receive a holistic approach for optimal care.

Providers

SuzanneSuzanne, CPhT is a PTCB Certified Senior Pharmacy Technician with an understanding of the metabolization of synthetic and holistic medications within the human body. She is educated on the endocannabinoid system and the many benefits of medical marijuana. Her patient focused experience includes educating others on the structure and balance of a medical marijuana regimen to treat a variety of qualifying conditions, including but not limited to, balancing THC and low-THC products, strains, terpenes, and the differences in delivery methods. She is our Office Manager and a Medical Cannabis Consultant. Suzanne has an unyielding drive to share her knowledge gained through years of multifaceted experiences in the industry. As a patient of the Bernard Cannabis Center, Suzanne is able to empathize and listen with understanding and compassion, giving feedback to help guide you on the path to wellness.

I'sisI’sis, RMA is a certified Registered Medical Assistant, who has passionately handled patients with disabilities for over 15 years, ranging from extreme anxiety, bipolar disorders, to behavioral issues. Suffering from conditions of her own, I’sis has understanding and empathy for patients with debilitating medical conditions. She has firsthand knowledge of the benefits of medical cannabis as a patient of the Bernard Cannabis Center. She is one of the first voices you may hear as she serves as a Receptionist, with a firm belief in helping others to find a balance between pharmaceutical drugs and holistic alternatives.

MicheleMichele, CMA, has over 10 years of healthcare experience ranging from Cardiology, geriatric care to chronic care management. She has a passion for helping patients achieve their healthcare goals and helping them to live more comfortable and fulfilling lives. Michele has witnessed the positive effects that cannabis brings to those suffering from chronic conditions. She serves us as a Receptionist, and is an advocate for natural remedies, such as cannabis, to help manage symptoms, in place of some prescription medications that can cause harmful side effects.

Pricing

  • Booking Fee: $50 (Non-refundable. Credited to Visit fee if appointment kept.)
  • New Patient Visit: $250 for 7 months, $169 transfer new patient for 7 months, $150 if US veteran/cancer diagnosis.
  • Follow-up Visit: $169 (every 7 months), $139 if US veteran/cancer diagnosis.
